What is the GRE?
The GRE General Test is the only test that helps a student get into graduate school, business school, AND law school. It is the most widely accepted admissions test worldwide. Whether you are applying to a master's program, doctoral program, J.D. program, or MBA program, the GRE is the test to take.
The Program
Comprehensive and Partial Programs
Each GRE tutoring program is tailored to the needs of the individual student. The first step is for the student to take a diagnostic GRE, which the tutor uses to both assess the student's strengths and weaknesses and manage the program accordingly.
There are two different programs to choose from:
- LITE GRE Comprehensive Program: covers all 3 parts of the exam, namely Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing.
- LITE GRE Partial Program: covers only the area in which the student needs the most help, such as Quantitative Reasoning.
One-on-One Tutoring
Students work one-on-one with their tutors. Our NYS-certified teachers cover all the concepts that the students need to master. As many of our GRE students are away in college, LITE offers one-on-one online tutoring using both Skype and an interactive whiteboard tool for effective remote learning.
Practice Exams
In addition to the tailored curriculum, our GRE test prep program offers paper-delivered practice exams that are timed and proctored. Our philosophy at LITE is that success on these exams is measured not only by learning the material but also by learning how to take the test.
Start of the Program
Both the length and start time of each tutoring program is determined by the student's strengths and weaknesses. Whichever GRE program a student chooses, our experienced teachers will help him/her throughout the process, offering not only rules and techniques, but also encouragement and guidance.

Our GRE tutoring program is a very demanding one that requires consistent dedication and discipline from all of our students. We provide an optimal study plan for each student to help him/her stay on task and remain motivated all the way to test day.
Fees and Rates
Registration Fee
$325.00
The non-refundable registration fee covers all materials and practice tests throughout the program.
GRE Online Registration
To register in the program, please complete the registration form below. You can pay registration fee online by clicking the link below, or you can mail a check made payable to Long Island Tutoring & Enrichment. Please note that tutoring time slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. You are not guaranteed a spot in the program until your registration form and fee are received and processed.
