Michele Brower has been a standardized test instructor since 1998, but her passion for teaching began even earlier. During her junior year at Binghamton University, Michele was asked by her law professor to be his Teacher's Assistant, and a love of teaching ensued. She graduated from Binghamton with a double major in Pre-Law and English and a minor in Spanish. She then graduated magna cum laude from Binghamton with a Master’s degree in Education. Michele commenced her teaching career as both a high school social studies teacher and an SAT/ACT tutor. She has written, illustrated, and published a children's journal workbook that promotes daily reading, writing, and reflection. Michele has since left the classroom and has devoted all her energy to successfully helping students of varying abilities and learning styles reach their potential on demanding standardized tests, namely the ACT, SAT, SAT Subject Tests in Math Level 1 and Math Level 2, CHSEE, PSAT, SSAT, and GRE.

"My experience with Michele has been completely positive. During my tutoring sessions, her infinite patience and energy enabled me to both learn better strategies for standardized testing and enjoy the process doing so. I also enjoyed how engaged she was when I talked about my academic pursuits at school, such as when she actively tried to solve the problems I encountered in Mathletes. Michele is an amazing tutor and an even more amazing person."
~Drew K. (Student: Prefect Score of 36), Huntington, NY
"We used LITE for both our sons. Both boys ended up at their top college choice. My oldest scored one point off a perfect ACT score. My youngest (who is special ed) scored high enough to obtain almost full scholarships to the schools of his choice. It's an investment of time, effort, and money but our sons made the commitment and we supported them. And it paid off - they are where they wanted to be and one has a substantial scholarship. We would highly recommend LITE."

"From the first conversation I had with Paul I knew it was going to be a positive experience for my daughter. This instinct was confirmed when my daughter walked out with a big smile on her face after their first session. The college application process can be very overwhelming, especially going through it for the first time. Paul made a plan and guided my daughter through it. His weekly updates as to where she was in the process were very helpful. Most of all, he helped put her best "self" forward in these essays. She did all the work, but his fine tuning added the perfect touches. He was a pleasure to work with!!!"
~Robyn L. (parent), Brookville, NY
"Drew has always wanted to follow in his father's and grandfather's footsteps and attend Yale. From the first conversation with Michele, I knew she was the perfect tutor to help Drew reach his goal as she quickly understood his situation and very aptly articulated that she needed to tailor her strategy to "help Drew win the marathon and not just get a better time in the race." After months of working with Michele, Drew received a perfect score on the ACT and was named a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist. When Drew received his test results he said, "I am really going to miss my sessions with Michele!" Drew will be attending Yale in the fall, and my daughter will begin her sessions with her this summer!"
~Janine K. (parent), Huntington, NY
"We are getting Brian ready to leave next week and wanted to thank you again for all your help. My husband and I are confident his scores are what got him in. I would recommend you to anyone who asks! Thank you!"
~Liz S. (parent), Lloyd Harbor, NY
"Michele Brower is the very best! She prepared both of my girls and helped them score higher than they ever thought they could. She was patient with them throughout the whole process, was able to detect their weaknesses and give them strategies to overcome them, and most importantly she has the unique ability to be on the same level as her students because she has so much experience working with them. I am so thankful for all the work she put in to help my girls achieve the grades they did. I would never use anyone else."
~Paula H. (parent), Plainview, NY
"Michele was really helpful in preparing me for the SAT. She has a very easygoing style yet she was still able to point out areas that I needed to improve on and then provide techniques and tips to overcome these challenges. Her practice tests made the real test much less intimidating and ultimately allowed me to achieve my highest score. That score helped me get into Emerson College with a half-tuition scholarship."
